PERSONAL WEBSITE

The world of graphic design has so many opportunities. I always felt that it wasn’t important to draw initial sketches and write ideas in my sketchbook. However, I soon realized that my hand may know more than my own head. My sketches have led me to some great ideas that, if I hadn’t written them down, would’ve never occurred to me. I have now grown to trust my ideas and believe in my work. I love using different design tools that allow me to have that “pencil to paper” feel. An important concept and theme to me is simplicity. I make my designs simple and reduce them down to produce a larger meaning. That is one of the beauties of graphic design. I find it fascinating how a small simple shape(s) can relay a message that one reads and acts upon. For instance, the deer crossing sign we all are familiar with is simply a picture of a deer; however, we know that it means that there could be deer crossing the street in said areas so you should use caution. I never used to think about things like that until I started my journey in graphic design. My work is meant to make the viewer feel something. Maybe it is the feeling of complexity or tranquility. I am able to conceptualize things as well as take challenges and organizationally execute them. I am excited to keep pursuing graphic design see the path I am on as a designer. In the world of graphic design, there are always new things to learn and I am ready to take on the challenges that come my way as there are always new advances in the computer software platforms and design community.
