Alex and Lauren are so excited to be getting married after a relationship of almost 8 years! They first met their sophomore year of high school, in 2008, through a mutual friend. Who knew that going to a movie with a group of friends at the Irvine Spectrum would be the beginning of their Love Story! After spending nearly every weekend together....and meeting each others' families....Alex asked Lauren to be his girlfriend on her 16th birthday with red rose petals on her front porch.

Soon, it was time for Lauren and Alex to go on to college in separate states. With Lauren living in San Diego and Alex living in Pennsylvania, a cross-country relationship was in full force! Some days were tough, some days were easy, some were happy and some were sad....but it was no question that Alex and Lauren knew they were meant to be together.

After four long years of only seeing each other once a month, Alex and Lauren were ecstatic to move to the East Coast together when they graduated college in 2014. They got their first apartment together, their first full-time jobs, and Lauren survived her first brutal winter. Although Lauren and Alex missed their families and Southern California, they had such an amazing year together exploring New England, Connecticut, and New York City.

Sooner than expected, Alex's company moved them back to California. Alex proposed to Lauren on July 11, 2015 at the top of Mammoth Mountain. Lauren was so surprised to see the Meech's and Nowlin's jump out from hiding! She was so overwhelmed with happiness that she forgot to say 'YES' right away....until she realized Alex was still on his knee with the ring in his hand. The two families popped champagne and celebrated in Mammoth together for the rest of the weekend. Karen, Jackie, and Lauren finally stopped crying ;)

Alex and Lauren are enjoying their engagement and living in their new apartment in Dana Point. Lauren and Alex have a long history of loving each other, but the rest of their Love Story has only just begun. They cannot wait to say 'I DO' on September 17th!
